Workshop for Bid Committee Members (MFMA)

Background:

This workshop was specifically developed to train officials that serves on any of the three Bid Committees operating in the Municipal environment.

The roles and functions of the Bid Specification, Bid Evaluation and Bid Adjudication committee’s roles and functions are addressed.

Accreditation:

This three-day workshop is not accredited and is specially developed to train committee members who due to time restraints cannot attend a full time accredited course..

The content of the workshop is however based on US 337061: “Demonstrate knowledge and insight into a bid committee system applicable to an Organ of State in South Africa” but without the assessment criteria demanded by such unit standard. 

Purpose of this workshop:

The purpose of this workshop is to provide Bid Committee members and the Bid Committee secretariat in Local Government with the necessary skills and knowledge to equip them to serve on such committees and to ensure that value is added to the procurement process.
